How we measure our progress
We want to make it easy for all our stakeholders to understand the work we’re doing and how we’re measuring our performance. As a result, we align our reporting to key external frameworks which help broaden our impact:
- United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)
- Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)
- Our Climate Report is fully compliant with the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures

Climate change
We recognise the importance of supporting the transition to a lower-carbon economy and have set ourselves the goal of being net zero across the group by 2050.
Our strategy for achieving net zero includes being more efficient with our energy and resources; using data to identify initiatives that deliver the greatest impact; engaging people we work with closely on climate change to drive awareness, action and transparency; and embedding environmental considerations into our risk management, culture and governance.

Community Impact
Giving back to our communities has been a priority for us since day one. We want to create lasting value in the places we live and work, acting to make a difference to those less fortunate. We do this financially through the SJP Charitable Foundation, and by volunteering our time and skills in the local community, as well as through the delivery of our financial education programmes to young people.

Our people and governance
Our responsibilities extend beyond these four key areas to others where we must also make sure we’re doing the right thing.
These are the fundamentals that we need to get right to enable our business to grow and function. They include people matters such as inclusion and diversity, policy influence, and client satisfaction and retention, to key issues of governance like data security, procurement, and risk management.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
We seek to align ourselves with the UNSDGs through our Corporate Responsibility strategy. We take a strategic approach to Corporate Responsibility, using focused work to maximise our impact in specific areas. Through this approach, we look to contribute towards the SDGs (quality education; decent work and economic growth; reduced inequalities; and climate action) locally, nationally and around the world.
